The EJA-E series of transmitters is Yokogawa’s most recent evolution of the DPharp family. Released in 2012, it combines the ruggedness and success of the work-horse EJA-E series with the performance of the thoroughbred EJX-A series to deliver the type of product you have come to expect from Yokogawa. The EJA130E is a differential pressure transmitter designed to work in a high static pressure enviroment.
Available with HART 5/7, 1 to 5 VDC HART 7 (Low Power), FOUNDATION FieldBus, PROFIBUS PA, or BRAIN communication.
EJA130E features include:
Designed to operate reliably in very high static pressure environments — MWP (Maximum Working Pressure) up to 4,500 psi.
Over-pressure protection via the sensor capsule’s mechanical design.
Uses a single-crystal silicon resonant sensor (DPharp) for very stable and accurate pressure measurement.
± 0.055% of the DP span.
Very low drift: ± 0.1% of upper range limit (URL) over 10 years.
Typical response time is 150 ms, making it relatively quick for changes in differential pressure.
Standard output: 4–20 mA DC.
HART 5 / HART 7, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, PROFIBUS PA, and 1‑5 V DC + HART Low Power.
Measures both differential pressure (DP) and static pressure (SP).
SP measurement can be shown on the local indicator or transmitted (via HART, BRAIN, etc.).
Built-in 40 self-diagnostic checks.
Back‑check Technology reverses internal calculations in real-time to verify measurement correctness.
Uses an active sensor: the sensor continuously outputs a signal, so loss of signal triggers fault detection.
10-point signal characterization: can adjust the 4–20 mA output to match non-linear relationships (e.g. for tank strapping or custom flow curves).
Certified SIL 2 (single transmitter) and SIL 3 (redundant pair) by Exida / TÜV under IEC 61508 / 61511.
4-bolt pressure-retaining body design for mechanical strength.
options include Hastelloy C-276, stainless steel, Teflon-coated gaskets, depending on process requirements.
Dual-seal certified to ANSI / ISA 12.27.01 for safety.
LCD indicator: shows DP, SP, capsule temperature, alarms, and bar graph.
Display is on a separate circuit (not driven by 4‑20 mA), so it works independently.
Supports bi-directional flow measurement when using HART (HART 5/7) or BRAIN protocol.
