VersaFlow Magnetic Flowmeter

VersaFlow Magnetic Flowmeters are highly versatile, customizable and offer precise flow measurement for conductive liquids, pastes and slurries.

VersaFlow Magnetic Flowmeters comprise a range of process measurement devices used in commercial, industrial and manufacturing operations where production efficiency and an end-product’s quality depend on the accuracy of measurement. A variety of options are available to address user needs ranging from small to large line sizes and from the simplest to the most demanding applications.

The product is available in four variants:

  • Mag 4000: A robust sensor designed for the most demanding industrial applications
  • Mag 1000: The optimum solution for water and waste water applications
  • Mag 100: An economical solution for a wide range of applications

  • Mag 3000: A sensor for the food and beverage industry manufactured in conformance to FDA requirements

The VersaFlow Mag flowmeter line includes:

Mag 4000: robust sensor for demanding industrial applications

Mag 1000: optimized for water and wastewater applications

Mag 100: economical version for general use

Mag 3000: hygienic, sanitary version (food & beverage) made to FDA standards

Mag 2000 SW: for aggressive / abrasive fluids, with ceramic liner

Versatility

Designed for conductive liquids, pastes, and slurries.

Low Conductivity Capability

Works with fluids of very low conductivity — down to 1 µS/cm.

Virtual reference ground eliminates need for grounding electrodes or rings.

Handles challenging media rapidly changing fluids, pH swings, high solids, and pulsating flow.

Chemically Resistant Construction

Sensor cell built to resist a wide range of chemical media.

Liner materials vary (e.g., PTFE, PFA, ceramics depending on model) to suit aggressive fluids.

Hygienic Design (Mag 3000)

Stainless steel design suitable for CIP/SIP (clean-in-place / sterilize-in-place).

Certifications / Approvals

Mag 1000: certifications for water/wastewater, e.g. KTW, WRc, KIWA, ACS.

Hazardous area versions available (for use in explosive atmospheres).

Features

  • Virtual reference ground removes need for extra grounding hardware.
  • Maintenance-free design for many variants.
  • In-situ verification possible (with tools like Honeywell MagCheck for Mag 1000).
  • Electronic converter / transmitter is modular: separate from sensor, and can be mounted locally, or remotely.
  • Мery stable over time; designed for demanding industrial conditions.
  • Accuracy maintained even in harsh chemical environments (resistant materials).
