Field-mount temperature transmitter TTF300, TTF300-N

The two-channel TTF300 HART, PROFIBUS PA, or FOUNDATION Fieldbus temperature transmitter in proven two-wire technology features a multitude of new functions and enhanced diagnostic information. Also available as NINVA™ TTF300-N, for non-invasive temperature measurement – a simpler and safer approach to temperature measurement.

The field-mount temperature transmitter can be configured via FDT / DTM in DAT200 (Asset Vision Basic) or any standard FTD tool via EDD or local HMI (optional). The Field Information Manager (FIM) is also supported via FDI technology. For PROFIBUS the configuration is possible via GST-file, EDD or DTM and for FOUNDATION Fieldbus via EDD.

Features

  • Dual universal sensor inputs: supports RTDs (e.g., Pt100), thermocouples, resistance (Ω) and millivolt (mV) signals.
  • Supports full range of communication/output protocols: 4–20 mA + HART, optionally PROFIBUS PA or FOUNDATION Fieldbus.
  • Functional safety ready: supports SIL 2 / SIL 3 according to IEC 61508 (for HART variant) for safety-relevant applications.
  • Sensor redundancy and backup: allows two sensors (e.g., 2×Pt100) and automatic switching in case of primary sensor failure.
  • Advanced diagnostics and monitoring:
  • Wire break / corrosion monitoring (NAMUR NE 89)
  • Extended diagnostics (NAMUR NE 107)
  • Sensor drift monitoring, supply-voltage monitoring.
  • High accuracy and stability: accuracy ~0.1 % (typical) of span and long-term drift ~0.05 %/year.
  • Rugged field housing: IP66 / IP67 rated, NEMA 4X, choice of aluminium or stainless steel housing, built for harsh ambient conditions.
  • Broad ambient temperature range (depending on version/housing): e.g., down to –50 °C in some specs.
  • Flexible sensor linearisation: supports customer-specific curves (Callendar-van-Dusen coefficients for RTDs), and up to 32 point linearisation tables.
  • Various explosion/hazardous-area approvals: ATEX, IECEx (Zone 0 versions), FM/CSA, GOST etc.
  • Optional local LCD display with push-buttons for configuration or reading local values.
  • For the TTF300-N (the “NINVA™ non-invasive” version) there is a mention of “NINVA™ Non-invasive temperature measurement capability … For use with TSP341-N remote sensor apparatus”
