SmartLine STD800 – Differential Pressure

SmartLine® ST800 Differential Pressure Transmitters bring smart technology to a wide spectrum of measurement applications ranging from furnace combustion airflow rate to hydrostatic tank gauging.

ST800 Differential Pressure Transmitters are ideal for critical process loops and high-value applications such as custody transfer, and energy and material balances. Four models are available with the following ranges:

  • STD810
  • STD815
  • STD820
  • STD830

Operating Conditions

Ambient temperature: –40 to +85 °C (varies by model) per spec sheet.

Supply voltage: varies by communication:

HART: ~10.8 – 42.4 VDC

DE: ~15 – 49.3 VDC

Fieldbus: ~9 – 32 VDC

Wetted parts: typically 316L stainless steel.

Warranty / Reliability

Optional 15-year warranty available.

Proven compatibility with Honeywell Experion PKS control systems.

Mechanical / Process Conditions

STD810: –10 to +10 inH₂O (–25 to 25 mbar)

Overpressure protection.

Support for SIL 2 / SIL 3 for functional safety.

Optional “Plugged Impulse Line Detection” (PILD) to detect blocked impulse lines.

Optional dual / triple calibration (for HART & Fieldbus models).

Accuracy & Stability

Standard accuracy: up to ± 0.035% of span; optional: ± 0.025%.

Long-term stability: up to 0.01% of URL per year, for up to 15 years.

Turndown

Very high rangeability: up to 400:1.

Features

  • Custody transfer and high-value process loops, where very precise and stable DP measurement is needed.
  • Flow measurement — using differential pressure across orifice plates or other primary elements.
  • Hydrostatic level measurement in closed or non-ventilated tanks (tank gauging) — using DP between bottom/top. Filter monitoring — detecting filter clogging via increasing differential pressure.
  • Critical safety / functional safety loops, thanks to SIL-rating and dual-seal design.
