Compact design with no requirement for straight upstream/downstream pipe runs, enabling installation in tight spaces. Low pressure drop, helping reduce pump energy use (e.g., “save up to 25 % on pump power costs” in many models). Multivariable measurement: mass flow, volume flow, density (and often temperature/concentration) in one device. Modular I/O and communications: for higher variants (especially FCB400 series) up to 5 modular I/Os, with multiple protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, HART, PROFIBUS, etc.). Smart digital sensor technologies: Smart Sensor, Sensor Application Memory for plug-and-play electronics replacement and data security. Diagnostic and verification tools: Veri Mass (on-board verification / diagnostics) present in higher models.
