Armored variable area purgemeter FAM3200

The FAM3200 is an armored purgemeter designed to meter small gas and liquid flows. This meter is especially suited for applications with cloudy, opaque or aggressive fluids in chemical and pharmaceutical industries, gas analyzers, process systems, well systems and wherever glass metering tubes cannot be used for safety reasons.

Features

  • Designed for smallflow measurement of both liquids and gases, especially when transparency or glasstube construction is not suitable (i.e., for cloudy, opaque or aggressive fluids). Armored (metal cone / stainless steel) variable area principle: the float rises in the meter tube in proportion to flow.
  • Wide flow range options: water flows from about 1 → 3,000 L/h (for certain sizes)
  • Typical turndown (rangeability) ~10 : 1.
  • High operating pressure capability: up to about 100 bar in certain versions.
  • Operating temperature (measuring medium) up to around +180 °C (depending on gasket / material options) 1
  • Materials: Wetted parts in stainless steel (1.4571/316Ti), Orings in materials such as Viton®, Buna N®, Kalrez®, EPDM.
  • Indicator options: Mechanical pointer scale, optional alarm units (min or max or both), optional analog output (e.g., 420 mA) with electronic converter.
  • Mounting: Can be pipeline mounted vertically or wall mounted; connections from ¼″ to 1″ threaded typical.
