Rosemount™ 8800 MultiVariable Flow Meters

The Rosemount 8800 MultiVariable Vortex Flow Meter combines temperature and flow devices into a single, highly accurate instrument, eliminating the costly installation of two or more separate devices. The integrated, removable temperature sensor provides an accurate process temperature measurement and is isolated from the process and separate from the Vortex flow sensor. With the input from an external HART® pressure transmitter, it also provides temperature and pressure compensation, enabling compensated mass flow and corrected volume in steam and liquid applications.

Achieve real-time compensation with temperature and/or pressure measurements in saturated steam, superheated steam and liquids to deliver better control, reliability, and reduced safety risks.

Our Solution

The Rosemount™ 8800 MultiVariable Vortex Flow Meter provides industry-leading accuracy in steam mass flow measurement. Real-time temperature and pressure compensation capability provides the confidence needed for producing accurate billing statements, balancing energy consumption, and achieving better control in steam applications.

Steam operations rely on safe, reliable instrumentation to withstand demanding high-pressure and temperature conditions. With no moving parts and no need for impulse lines, the Rosemount 8800 MultiVariable Vortex Flow Meter reduces maintenance and maximizes uptime by eliminating the risks of leaks, clogs, and plugs.

This flow meter offers world-class reliability with an all-welded, all-cast meter body design that eliminates leak points, reducing personnel exposure to hazardous steam conditions.

Applications

With rising energy costs, tracking steam usage is critical for effective energy management. Steam applications require flow meters with wide rangeability, high accuracy, and proven reliability. The Rosemount 8800 MultiVariable Vortex delivers on all fronts – helping improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Due to easy distribution, uniform heating, precise control, and high usable heat content, steam is widely used to deliver energy across a variety of industries and applications, included.
